With a handful of big name titles announced and more on the way, Sony is confident that 2009 is going to be the PlayStation Portable’s best software year ever.
It’s hard to imagine that last year was the biggest year for Sony in terms of PSP software sales, with hardly any big game releases outside of God of War: Chains of Olympus. With titles like Assassin’s Creed and LittleBigPlanet heading to the console this year, it makes sense that Sony Computer Entertainment America’s marketing executive John Koller is jazzed about this year’s potential.
Does that mean there will be even more big PSP announcements coming soon? With the Electronic Entertainment Expo coming up in two months, one might expect that any major announcements leftover might very well pop up there.
Koller made the comments during an interview over at GamesIndustry.biz, where he also talks about digital distribution of PSP titles and reiterates the fact that Sony currently has no plans for a PSP 4000. Check out the full interview by clicking on the words below.
