While customers wait to hear, well, anything of substance from Sony regarding the continued PlayStation Network downtime, at least somebody is hearing from the company, and thatâs developers affected by the prolonged outage.
Mad Blocker Alpha is a game that was supposed to have been released on the PSN last week, but because of the downtime hasnât been able to be downloaded by, well, anyone. So whatâs Sony doing to help the developers of the game out?
âSony will be helping us retain key focus [prominent placement on the PSN Store] for an extra few weeks as they understand how something like this can affect a small dev studio like ours,â says Paddy Murphy, boss of developers Open Emotion. âAs itâs our first week in the U.S., Iâm sure it will affect sales, but we have to understand that Sony wouldnât take down the entire PSN on a whim. As long as they can give us some marketing assistance when the PSN is back up, we are sure we will be able to recoup our potential losses.â
