South Korean Presidential Candidate Releases A Free StarCraft Map

Of course! If you are trying to win votes in South Korea, StarCraft is always one way to appeal to the masses.

Presidential candidate Moon Jae-in, who appears to be the front runner, has released two versions of a custom map called ā€œMoontersā€ (geddit?) to mark StarCraft going free. The maps are available on the politician’s official blog.

As tipster Sang points out, the map is just an existing one with a big pile of minerals in the middle that reads ā€œ1 Moon Jae-in.ā€ (The other version of the same map has ā€œ1″ in the top right corner.)

Here’s a time lapse clip of the map on Moon’s official YouTube account.

This is not a joke. This is real.
