As you explore the Zone, stumbling upon all manner of mutants and freelance Stalkers in search of mystery and money, you’ll inevitably eavesdrop on stories about stranger-than-usual anomalies—the stuff of legends. As it turns out, the Zone produces legendary artifacts in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl that provide significant buffs to those willing to wield their power. Such power often comes at a steep price, however.
Keep an eye out for the legendary artifacts across the Zone

While Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl features many anomalies to uncover across the Zone, most of which provide unique buffs, only ten legendary artifacts in the game are worth their reputation. These range in rarity from end-game-level story-centric anomalies that alter the outcome of the entire game to minor buffs, such as reducing bullet damage while remaining completely immobile. It’s a trade-off, like everything in the Zone!

You’ll find many of these items by interacting with anomalies across the zone of their respective type. For example, to find Compass, you must track and interact with gravitational anomalies, which you can find everywhere.
As for the Heart of Chornobyl, it’s perhaps the rarest of all anomalies in the game, but it’s also the only one specifically designed to alter your path. It doesn’t provide a boost or ongoing radiation damage while you explore, but it does unlock the Kaimanov ending. Furthermore, it’s only available when you slay Strelok during the Ward, Spark, or Kaimanov ending paths.
If you take a quick detour to find the game’s best submachine gun, you’ll have a powerful close-quarters weapon that makes dealing with anomalies and the mutants surrounding them easier!
