The interwebs are abuzz with the news that comic book legend Stan Lee will upgrade from his usual cameo role to playable character in Activisionâs Spider-Man movie tie-in. Seriously?
I will give the good folks at addict of fiction this: Stan Lee does indeed say he is going to be a playable character in Beenoxâs The Amazing Spider-Man, due out in June across multiple platforms in time for the next filmâs July 3 release.
He also says heâs never played a video game. He obviously doesnât know too much about them. Iâm thinking maybe he got his terminology mixed up?
Not that swinging high above the streets of New York as an 89-year-old man doesnât sound appealing. I guess Iâm just being skeptical. That doesnât happen often.
Iâve reached out to Activision for verification of Leeâs statement, and will be more than happy to be proven wrong as soon as they give me a thumbs-up or thumbs down.
