This is Jotun. It’s an “action-exploration” game, where you control a viking who has died an “inglorious death”. That doesn’t sound good.
Because that kind of death doesn’t get you an express ticket to Valhalla, you’re stuck in purgatory fighting a bunch of monsters until you rack up enough Valhalla Points to get to, well, you know where.
