Round two of Sniper class update related news has hit the official Team Fortress 2 site. Whatâs new? Well, the new âPayload Raceâ game mode, for one, and two snazzy looking new maps.
Payload Race looks to transform the already-released Payload modeâwhich shipped alongside the Medic class update last April and requires the escorting of an on-rails vehicle to safetyâinto a dual cart pushing frenzy. Valve calls the red versus blue challenge of dual escorting âgladiatorial cart combat.â Expect the first Payload Race map, Pipeline, to hit sometime next week along with the Sniperâs new Huntsman weapon, should Valve stay on schedule.
