Terrible 1990s Console Games Simulate the 2011 NBA Playoffs

SB Nation had a good thing going, picking winners of the first round of the NBA Playoffs using awful games like Bill Laimbeer’s Combat Basketball and IN THE ZONE ’98. But then the Miami-Philadelphia series was simulated using Streets of Rage. Streets of Rage is not a crappy video game.

See the link for the whole thing – with video – but writer Jon Bois’ best laugh lines are his ā€œkeys to the gameā€ for Oklahoma City and Denver, simulated using Barkley Shut Up and Jam.

• Shut up and jam.

• Shut up as well as jam.

• Be quiet in addition to jam.

• Remain silent, lest jam be delayed or canceled altogether.
