While there are two official games coming based on the classic XCOM (or, really, X-Com) universe, thereās another, less official one in the pipeline as well: PC indie strategy title Xenonauts
Originally unveiled in 2010, and billed as a spiritual successor to the original X-Com game, itās just received a fairly substantial visual overhaul, which you can see in the shots in the gallery above. Youāll also find some work-in-progress images of the gameās user interface, a fetish I know many of you, like me, canāt get enough of.
Xenonauts is currently in alpha. You can actually play it now, though, if you preorder, with more information at the gameās official site
