Battlefield 3 is the first multiplayer shooter Iāve played regularly for years, but Iāve been on the cusp of tapping out lately because of all the cheats. Like guys in helicopters who hover at the edge of the map and deal out instant death.
āWhat, you canāt get out of that flying tin can and come and face me like a man?ā I scream as I clamber from the burning wreckage of my tank. āFACE ME YOU COWAR-ā is all I get out next as instant death strikes my body as quickly as it did my vehicle.
Anyway.
Iām not the only one, obviously, EA promising āStarting today, we will further intensify our efforts to hunt down and rid Battlefield 3 of cheaters. Stats wiping and banning this disruptive minority is the only way they will understand that they are ruining the game for others. We do this for the millions of dedicated players out there who deserve a fair game, every game.ā
Letās hope it has an effect. I really, really like the game, and want my time with it to come to an end on my terms, not because some morons with a superiority complex want to break the rules.
