I’d semiadopted a neighborhood stray back during a terrible cold snap in the winter. She doesn’t get along with my indoor cat at all, so she spends most of her time outside. Friday I noticed she didn’t show up for dinner. Turns out she’d gotten locked in a neighbor’s garage. I’d think 48 hours without food or water would mess up any organism pretty bad, but she’s fine. Charged right up to the door and started bawling for food, which sounded no worse than every other time she comes begging for it.
