While Defiance the show doesnât air until April 15, Defiance the massively multiplayer online third-person shooter launched today, welcoming players to a decidedly different version of the San Francisco Bay area. If you ask me, itâs never looked better.
Ainât terraforming grand? Itâs also nice to know humanity and its alien friends are still listening to Imagine Dragons in 2046. Makes me feel good about the future.
Iâm in the game now on PC (itâs also out for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3), watching players standing around the starting area. I like to imagine they are writing up articles of their own before wading into the pre-show festivities. Itâs a good time to be idle, because once the show goes live and things start changing weâll have to start paying attention.
