Forgoing the usual subject matter of horses and landscapes, the latest set of screenshots for Rockstarās Red Dead Redemption instead focuses on the gameās cast of supporting characters.
The screens also give me a chance to point to something interesting on the gameās official site: a series of features on the history behind the game. Seeing as Red Dead Redemption is set around the turn of the 20th century, which is a few decades later than most Western tales, itās inhabitants are going to look and behave a little differently from the expected cast of cowboys and hookers.
These features ā especially the one on lawman Tom Horn ā are good reading for anyone who likes history, westerns or, in lucky cases, both.
