Die-hard comics fans know that Marvel has a universe-shuffling reboot coming up in a few weeks. Weāve already gotten a glimpse at Uncanny Avengers and how Marvel Nowās flagship book will fuse the X-Men and Avengers characters into one unit. Now comes a look at the relaunch of the Avengers, which does that to a lesser degree.
The new mutants in the Earthās Mightiest Heroes roster look like Cannonball and Sunspot but, for the most part, the team is comprised of familiar faces. Of course, thatās to be expected with the success of the Avengers movie at movie theaters. (And only 14 members of an 18-person team are being shown.) Iām hoping that the status quo of some of these characters is changed after the events of Avengers vs. X-Men. Jonathan Hickman is one my favorite mainstream comics writers right now, so Iāll likely be checking thisout when the first issue hits in December.
