If youāre Australian, youāll know what a āboganā is. If not, know theyāre a derided ā but also strangely lovable ā rung on the ladder that is Australian society. Think rednecks, only with universally high-pitched voices, and a condition that makes them end every sentence with the word āc**tā.
The new Borderlands prequel, having been made largely in Australia, contains many nods to my country of birth, but none better than the bogan shotgun, which just nails it

Note that Iām not talking about the British lady at the start of the video. Iām talking about the shotgun that drops c-bombs.
In case you havenāt worked it out by now, this video is going to be a little NSFW.
Iām not actually a fan of Borderlands, and a lot of that has to do with the seriesā tone and writing, in particular the level the second game pitched itself at.
But I can always make exceptions for clever cultural gags, especially when theyāre ones like this we donāt usually get to see in big, international games.
