Last yearâs Ghostbusters: The Video Game was practically Ghostbusters 3, a reunion of the main cast from the 1980s movies in virtual form. The next one is more like a Gauntlet or Robotron sequel.
Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime will be a download-only four-player cooperative action game, according to a USA Today story about the game. Sanctum of Slime wonât feature voices from the moviesâ stars and seems to be more of a fast-action arcade shooter, as opposed to the previous gamesâ more cinematic and story-centric third-person shooter.
The game will be downloadable for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Itâs scheduled for a spring release.
