Former BioWare game director Trent Oster recently spoke to Eurogamer and revealed a project that was killed by EA.
Think James Bond meets Jason Bourne. Okay, now take that and add a focus on digital action and intense drama. Thatās what this game was going to be. It had the working title āAgent.ā
āThe idea being that James Bond isnāt just a gun that walks around the world and shoots people. Heās a suave manipulator, heās a talented martial artist, heās a secret agent. We wanted to cross that 007 with Jason Bourne, where heās been modified in some way; youāre not sure what, but heās definitely deadly,ā Oster explained.
But, EA didnāt believe in the idea. Agent āfailed to survive the recessionā according to Oster.
āAnd if the companyās not behind it, it doesnāt matter how hard you struggle you just canāt make it happen,ā Oster lamented.
Too bad. I would have totally played this. Damn you, EA recession.
