My, what a week itās been. Almost every member of team Kotaku convened in Los Angeles to bust our legs running around getting all the best video game news we could grab, and we are all bushed.
If there was one trend I noticed at E3 2012 (beyond the guns and bows and helicopters and throat-violence) it was Carly Rae Jepsenās splendid, near-perfect pop tune āCall Me Maybe.ā
The song was added to several video games, performed at the Nintendo press conference, and on the radio and internet just about everywhere we went. On Thursday, I walked past a girl who was singing the song out loud to no one in particular, and I realized: This is the official (unofficial) song of E3 2012.
So, I thought Iād put up this new version, featuring Jimmy Fallon and his house band The Roots backing Jepsen on a goofy, percussion-heavy acoustic version.
Which version of āCall Me Maybeā is the best? The arrested-development themed āCall me Maebyā? The version the President Barack Obama sang? Another one I havenāt seen?
Discuss that, or anything else youād like. Have good open threading (and a good weekend), see you next week.
