Sure, your Sim has a lovely home, nice friends, and all the material wealth he or she could ever have, but what about ambitions? Take control of your career this June with The Sims 3 Ambitions expansion pack.
The second step in EAās plan to flood the market with Sims expansions, as it did with The Sims and The Sims 2, Ambitions gives your Sims a career thatās more than just entering a building you canāt see inside and waiting until they come out at the end of the day. From ghost hunter to mad scientist, doctor to firefighter, Ambitions makes a game out of work. Become an architect and change the look of your town, invent dangerous gadgets as an inventor, or become an investigator, solving dozens of cases as you realize your quiet little town isnāt as quiet as you thought it was.
It sounds like a ton of content, with the potential for new downloadable careers in the future. Perhaps ambitious is a better name for this expansion?
āThe variety of careers to choose from is unmatched and weāve never given players the opportunity to follow their Sims to work and affect their actions on the job,ā said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio at EA. āThe Sims 3 Ambitions changes that. Playersā actions at work now directly affect their lives, community and neighbors and become an extremely important part of how the game is played.ā
Iām still reeling from my own Sim creation experience, in which my fake person, with no prompting from me, decided he wanted to become a journalist who enjoyed playing video games. Hopefully Iāll recover by June, in time for The Sims 3: Ambitions to hit the PC. If not, thereās always iPhone version, due out later this year.
