This week marks the tenth anniversary of a little game called The Sims. Weāll have a couple of guest on our podcast tomorrow to chat about the franchise.
I still remember my Electronic Arts pitch call ten years ago from someone who sounded just as confused as I felt about the notion of a game built around the concepts of Maslowās hierarchy of needs.
Our guests will be MJ Chun, associate producer of Sims 3, and Charles London, Sr., art director for the franchise and creator of the now iconic plumbob. Chun was the producer on The Sims 2 and all of its expansion packs. Chun is now in charge of The Sims 3 store.
On Wednesday at 11am Kotaku Time (thatās 1pm ET, 10am PT), you will be able to call in and ask the folks from Electronic Arts anything you want starting at half past the hour. Totilo and I will also be chatting about the weekās gaming news, taking your calls and listening to Owenās weekly rant.
Look for a reminder post about the podcast at 11:00 AM mountain time (1:00 PM ET) today, Wednesday. The post will include call-in info so you can ask your questions. The show will be live a few minutes after the hour. Iāll expect to hear you calling our switchboard then.
Regular listeners please note that our iTunes feed has changed. Subscribe to āKotaku Talk Radioā in iTunes to continue to follow our show that way. Weāll also continue to provide direct downloads of the show a couple of hours after showtime each Wednesday.
