The father-in-law recently took Mini-Bash to Kobe for the day to check out this 50-foot-tall statue of Gigantor. The 50-ton statue is actually 59 feet tall, but is not standing up straight.
Gigantor was created by Kobeās own Mitsuteru Yokoyama.
The statue is in Kobeās Wakamatsu Park, a residential area hit hard by the Great Hanshin Earthquake. The Gigantor statue symbolizes how the city has recovered since the 1995 quake ā BY BUILDING AN AWESOME ROBOT.
