The Week In Games: Small And Creepy

It’s a week of tiny gems and quirky Japanese imports, a relaxing respite before the season of ā€œmassive games you have to own or you’ll feel physically illā€ kicks into high gear. Or maybe that’s just me.

That’s not to say this week’s games are skippable. They’ll just hurt a little less when you don’t skip them. Murasaki Baby, pictured above, will certainly be on my Vita before Tuesday ends. I’ve already played a little Fairy Fencer F — it’s a little on the rough side of Japanese developer Compile Hearts’ games, but it’s got a nice sense of humor.

We’ve got a couple of games to get that 3DS stretched out before that Nintendo fighting game thing shows up, an excellent rhythm game from Zen Studios in Kickbeat, making its new-gen debut, and damn if I won’t be playing the hell out of the next Naruto game.
