At least two more souls will be revealed later this month at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con, promises Soulcalibur V director Daishi Odashima. But since Comic-Con doesnât hit San Diego for another fortnight, all we get now are silhouettes.
Odashima tweeted the above teasers today, saying that the pair would be unveiled at the con. âShow anymore & Iâm in trouble,â the Project SOUL designer said, leaving us to speculate about the identity of the pair. One looks like he could be the rapier-wielding Raphael, who first appeared in Soulcalibur II. The other looks a bit like Talim, the pint-sized fighter who also made her first appearance in Soulcalibur II
The pair may be all-new charactersâor the offspring of existing fightersâwhat with Soulcalibur V set some 17 years after the previous entry.
Kotaku will be at Comic-Con 2011 in full force (read: Owen Good and myself) from July 20 to 24, so keep an eye peeled for reveals just like this one.
