Considering the dilapidated state of the gameās story, youād imagine not that many actors (Ice-T aside) would fancy starring in a movie based on Call of Duty: Black Ops.
So itās a shame to see Dwayne āThe Rockā Johnson do just that.
I like The Rock! Not as a wrestler, mind, as I havenāt invested anything in that form of entertainment since the 1980s, but as an actor. Laugh if you want, but The Rundown/Welcome to the Jungle (āThatās a lotta cows!ā) is one of the best movies of the past ten years that nobody ever saw.
Anyway. Speaking with MTV, Johnson looked back on his experiences filming Doom, one of the most disappointing gaming adaptations ever filmed. āI thought we had an opportunity with DOOM. Didnāt work out the way we wanted it to, creatively. But yeah, if the right opportunity came along and the script is good, sure.ā
So what would that dream project be when it comes to video games and movies? āā[Call of Duty] Black Ops,ā thatād be bad ass. Letās make it happen, letās do it,ā he told the movie news site. āThat and āBlack Swan 2.'ā
Donāt do it, Dwayne! Nobody wants to see a movie where the lead actor gets captured 100 times and runs around the world talking to himself.
Unless it was a comedy. Called āShoot The Hingesā.
