Unfamiliar that is unless you live in Turkey, where ĆaÄrı Ulusoy on the darbuka and Emre Kaya on clarinet add a distinctively Turkish flair to the song that propelled a million plumbers after a million princesses. Itās encouraging to see people on the other side of the planet drawing the same enjoyment from Koji Kondo ās work. The land may be distant, thee clothing and customs may seem strange, but the song? Itās a universal constant.
