Thor Cosplay Is A Modern Day Love Story

The Jane Foster in these shots is Kes, a cosplayer from Germany who has been building outfits and dressing up for over a decade. The Thor, on the other hand, is her boyfriend Marcel, who is cosplaying for the first time.

“This Thor project is Marcel’s first approach to cosplay ever”, Kes tells me. “He started because last year at GamesCom he fell in love with a cosplay girl (that is me), and saw from being with someone like me—who has been cosplaying for over 10 years— that it’s a huge part of my life.”

“This is why he wanted to understand the enthusiasm I have for my hobby, wearing costumes, doing photoshoots, going to conventions and finding out what this great hobby is all about, by jumping headfirst in the cosplay community.”

So the pair decided to cosplay as Thor and Jane, heading out together to Comic Con Germany earlier this month.
