It might not seem like a savvy business move to rebrand yourself after a failed game publisher, but regardless, best of luck to the folks at Nordic, who announced today that theyâre now called THQ Nordic.
Nordic, a game publisher based in Austria, has had their hands in retail deals and ports for various games including Ori and the Blind Forest and Broken Age. They purchased a number of game properties like Darksiders and Red Faction during the big THQ auction in 2013. They also bought the THQ trademark, which theyâve now decided to embrace wholeheartedly, officially changing their name from Nordic Games to THQ Nordic.
âAs of now we have 23 game projects in development, 13 thereof have not yet been publicly announced, but are sure to be in the next months,â the publisher said in a press release. âNeedless to say, the majority of these projects are based on former THQ owned IPs and franchises.â
Hereâs hoping they donât make any uDraws.
