Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 revealed its cover today, pairing Woods with a younger Arnold Palmer, as he appeared during his heyday of the early 1960s. Palmer returns to the game as a playable character, too, having last appeared in the game in 2006.
While EA Sports is giving out no additional details yet, Palmerās inclusion likely means heāll be featured in some kind of showcase mode, potentially with other all-time greats from golf. For the past two years the game has prominently featured Augusta National Golf Club and its course, where Palmer won four Masters Tournaments, including three over a five year span from 1960 to 1964. Augusta National and the Masters will return to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14
Palmer is one of five golfers appearing in Tiger Woods 14 who werenāt on the roster last year. Heās joined by Keegan Bradley, Bud Cauley, Stacy Lewis and Lexi Thompson. The field of playable real-world golfers is more than 25, EA Sports said.
Bradley was the 2011 PGA Championship winner and was named the tourās rookie of the year. Cauley, considered a rising star approaching his third year on tour, had six finishes in the top 10 in 2012. Lewis is the LPGAās Player of the Year and top-ranked American. Thompson is noteworthy for winning an LPGA tournament at 16 years old (in 2011) and qualifying for the U.S. Womenās Open as a 12-year old.
