In addition to the FBI, Department of Homeland Security and 22 state attorneys general, Sony is now being questioned by a House of Representatives subcommittee in relation to the attacks which have left the PlayStation Network down for over a week.
In a letter addressed to PlayStation boss Kaz Hirai, the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade puts thirteen questions to Sony, asking for specific details as to the nature and scope of the attacks which the company has yet to reveal publicly.
Some of those questions have since been answered by the company as part of official statements, while others include âWhy did you wait to notify your customers of the breach?â, âHave you identified the individual(s) responsible for the attack?â and specifics over what Sony knows and doesnât know about the vulnerability of credit card data.
The letter is signed by the groupâs chairman Mary Bono Mack and ranking member G K Butterfield. You can read the whole thing in the gallery above (be sure to click âexpandâ to see them at full resolution).
