The Uncharted movie isnāt the trainwreck it once was, but itās still something to be concerned about, even with the involvementof the guy who made King of Kong. Why? Because itās a video game movie. Though a recent addition to the creative team might cheer you up a little.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Mark Boal ā an Oscar-winner, no less ā will be helping out, having ābeen brought on to work on the filmās screenplayā. Itās unclear whether heāll be starting from scratch and writing the whole thing, or working on the remains of whatās already been done (around half a dozen have already taken a swing over the years).
Boal, who wrote both The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty, might seem like a pretty serious kinda guy to get in on a project thatās going to need a lot of humour, but he āis said to be a fan of the popular video gameā, which could beā¦good? Itād certainly be reason to expect that any movie that might actually come of this (remember, video game movies rarely get made!) would be closer to the source material thanthis disaster of a first idea
