Trackingpoint, the company behind the weapons, tells Motherboard that the Army currently has some of their scopes âunder evaluation for assessmentâ.
Itâs not like theyâve signed a contract or anything, but still. If (IF!) the gear works as expected, itâd be hard imagining the military saying no to technology that lets infantry âtagâ enemies through their scopes, then use a form of auto-aim assist to hit them regardless of the weather conditions.
Video game designers, your ânear futureâ tech is about to become just plain old tech. Time to step up your game and think of something fancier
