I guess the idea was to take the basic premise of the manga and anime series and convert them into material that would appeal to a broader audience. Instead, Dragonball Evolution distanced itself from the source material to such an extent that even people who had never been exposed to the series could sense something was off. If youâre going to fail, fail spectacularly.
