Weekend Coupons: The Make Good

Remember that profile we ran Thursday about the newly launched reselling marketplace? The one that got, as we say around here, Kotaku’d by all the traffic? All’s well now and they’ve thrown our readers a coupon as a goodwill gesture.

Glyde, the site that’s been a big hit with gamers since well before its official launch in November, is offering $3 off any single game purchase with the promo code KOTAKU. You’ll need to create an account there, of course. This is important: There’s gray text that says “Have a coupon code?” underneath the total price. Click that and enter the code there and hit “apply code” before you hit the big blue “buy” button. Otherwise, you’ll have 30 seconds to cancel the transaction, then go back and enter the code to get your discount.

Hardware

• The plain, yet still mysterious Final Fantasy XIII 360 console bundle is now up for sale at Amazon. Comes with a 250GB drive, 2 controllers, and the FF13 game for $399.99. Release date is March 9. [Dealzon]

Software

• Trine is $9.99 (usually $19.99) on both PSN and with a download code bought from Amazon. Not sure how long that sale will last. [Cheap Ass Gamer]

• This Saturday is the last day of Amazon’s “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” sale on Xbox 360 Platinum Hits. Includes original titles that spawned recent hot sequels like Bioshock, Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed, and Army of Two among 36 total – mostly priced at $20, $28, and $30. [Dealzon]

• The coupon code FEB10OFF at GameStop gets you strong savings on a couple of games. With it, Darksiders is $35.99 with free shipping – and a $10 store credit. And use it on Valkyria Chronicles to get it for $17.99 plus $2.99 shipping. These are new games, not used. [TechDealDigger]

• Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery for iPhone, iTouch, and (soon) Pad has been slashed 30 percent in the App(le) Store. Usually $9.99, now $6.99, so I guess that’s just three dollars. Free shipping, though! [Dealzon]
