My fellow Americans and I will be enjoying the pleasures of a three-day weekend, thanks to the arrival of Memorial Day. In shallow remembrance of our fallen servicemen, Iāll be playing Rock Band Unplugged.
Probably not the most fitting tribute, Iāll concede, but I hope to make up for it by patriotically consuming large volumes of potato salad and barbecued meats. While doing so, I wonāt forget the men (and women) who died, who gave that right to me, to borrow from Lee Greenwood.
The only military service I see myself doing this weekend is appropriating a new American flag, learning how to properly dispose of the old one, so as not to incur Lincolnās Curse, and then by maybe playing some Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
