What Does Kingdom Hearts 3 Depend On?

Kingdom Hearts is the Square Enix role-playing series staring Disney characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. The series has had several spin-offs, but gamers are eagerly awaiting Kingdom Hearts 3.

“About the next title, Kingdom Hearts 3 depends on Final Fantasy Versus XIII, but development of the next title is already underway,” Kingdom Heart game designer Tetsuya Nomura said in a recent interview. “There are two titles other than Kingdom Hearts 3 in conception, and I think I’ll release one within this year.”

The game designer also added that Kingdom Hearts won’t end with Kingdom Hearts 3 and that he wanted to put out a title with multiple main characters. “It’s not the case that when Sora’s story is over another hero’s story will begin,” Normura said about the protagonist. “Sora will be the hero until the end.”

Last spring, Nomura said that development on the upcoming Final Fantasy Versus XIII is “going well”. It is uncertain, however, whether or not the game will be shown at this year’s E3 gaming expo.
