And itās not from Nintendo, but game publisher THQ.
This year, THQ is launching the US$70 uDraw Game Tablet and aimed at 6-to-12-year-olds. It measures at 9 inches wide and 7 inches wide, making it roughly the same size as a Nintendo Wii.
The tablet comes with uDraw software. Pictionary and Doodās Big Adventure are sold separately, each priced at $29.99.
āWe are impressed with THQās innovative design and focus on bringing a new gameplay experience to the Wii owner with their uDraw GameTablet,ā said Steve Singer, vice-president of Licensing for Nintendo of America, in an official statement. āNintendo is committed to providing fun and unique experiences and THQās uDraw GameTablet seems destined to continue that trend.ā
To use the tablet, players connect the uDraw Game Tablet to a Wii controller. A stylus enables gamers to draw pictures and play games.
