Wii Rock Band Scores 25 Songs This Week

This week’s update to the Wii Rock Band Music Store is truly massive, with 25 new tracks covering everything from Duran Duran to Siouxsie & The Banshees.

Along with the nine tracks announced last week for Rock Band across all platforms, which included tunes by Steely Dan, Social Distortion, and The Replacements, the Wii gets an additional sixteen tracks as it struggles to catch up with its more powerful console cousins.

Siouxsie & The Banshees adds three new tracks to their Wii lineup this week, with “Hong Kong Garden”, “Kiss Them for Me” , and “The Killing Jar” all desperately trying to make up for the fact that “Peek-A-Boo” cannot be released until Accordion Hero is released.

Indie rock is well-represented this week, with “All Over Again,” “Don’t Make Me Wait” and “She Does” from Locksley and the Silversun Pickups with “Melatonin” and “Well Thought Out Twinkles”.

An appropriate double dose of Duran Duran makes up the remainder of this week’s grouped songs, with “Girls on Film” cowering before the sheer power of “Rio”.

Songs from Mötley Crüe, Psychedelic Furs, Sixx:A.M., The Pretenders, and The Janitors fill in the rest of the massive update, with all of the songs available for $2.00 or 200 Wii points a pop. Check out the full list below, and prepare to fill up an entire SD card with new music tomorrow.
