BioWare has announced the star-studded voice cast for Dragon Age: Origins, giving us yet another excuse to post a giant picture of Tim Curry.
Not that we need an excuse. Left unchecked, Iâm sure half of our posts would have giant Curry faces staring at you on a daily basis, but we show restraint, to keep moments like these special. The beloved character actor lends his character to the character of the villainous Arl Rendon Howe, who BioWareâs press release describes as a âcalculating villain, cultured and charming, with an insatiable lust for power.â Ah, typecasting, how we love thee.
Joining Curry in the Dragon Age cast is Captain Janeway of Star Trek: Voyager fame Kate Mulgrew, who is playing a witch; Tim Russ, better known as Voyagerâs Tuvok; Stargate SG-1 and Farscapeâs Claudia Black; and Crossing Jordanâs Steve Valentine.
âDragon Age: Origins has the largest cast of characters of any game BioWare has ever made,â said Mark Darrah, Executive Producer, BioWare. âBy working with an incredibly talented cast of actors we are able to bring reality and depth to the characters, their back stories, motivations, and dreams that our talented writers have created for them.â
Sure, sure. EA just realizes that we will buy any game that features Tim Curryâs voice. I hear he is playing Tiger Woods in the next PGA title. Okay, I didnât hear that, but I would totally buy it if he did.
