Confirming what it calls one of the âworst kept secretsâ the makers of the next Call of Duty said today that youâll be able to shoot zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops in the gameâs four-player co-op mode.
The Novemberâscheduled Black Ops is being made by Treyarch, the studio that tucked a zombie-shooting mode in its previous game, 2008âs Call of Duty: World at War. The zombie mode was popular enough to spawn iPhone spin-offs.
Black Ops is set during the Cold War, a period of world history that was zombie-free, but zombies were nonetheless expected and their inclusion leaked earlier this week. The official news today doesnât say zombies will be in the main single-player storyline campaign, but locks them in for a four-player co-op mode.
