Battle royales are a dime a dozen. Probably cheaper. While the premise of every-player-for-themselves and winner-take-all makes for a good multiplayer game, it’s hard to find a battle royale game that offers a unique spin on those fundamental premises. But Final Sentence sure as hell seems like it might’ve found a distinctive enough concept to set itself apart: Gather a bunch of players in a room and have them type as fast as they can, with every typo leading to potential elimination.
Developed by Button Mash, Final Sentence’s premise and setup doesn’t get any simpler: Put your butt in the chair and copy the text in front of you as accurately and quickly as possible. For every three typos you make, a masked man in a trench coat will load a bullet into a revolver, spin the cylinder, and fire it at you. If you’re lucky, you can continue playing. If not, well. You’re dead. The more times you trigger a spin of the cylinder, the more bullets your masked executioner loads into the gun.
There’s a demo available on Steam as a part of Next Fest if the premise appeals to you. Having played a few matches myself, I can say it’s quite fun! I tend to push multiple keys at once when typing fast, so I’ve had my share of eliminations.

The game is expected to arrive in Q4 of 2025, so if you fancy yourself a pretty adept touch typist, keep this one on your radar. Maybe you’ll get to prove to the world just how speedy and accurate you are on a keyboard, while the bodies of those who couldn’t match your prowess pile up around you.
