Beginner Leveling & Endgame Build – Rogue

Good news, Rogues! My favorite build in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred is great for both leveling and endgame content.

If you’ve read my Spiritborn guide, you’ll already know I love movement, and this is the most movement-focused build I’ve found for the Rogue. Like an amped up ‘Whirlwind’ Barbarian build, the ‘Dance Of Knives’ Rogue build is all about using its signature ability as often as possible. It doesn’t take much to get it going, and once you do, it’s fairly easy to use it all the time.

The basic idea is to use abilities like Concealment, Dark Shroud, Shadow Clone, and others to boost your damage, then hold Dance of Knives until you run out of charges. Then use Blade Shift and other abilities, get your charges back, then begin again.

When picking up gear or modifying traits, ‘Movement speed’ is king. Enhanced Dance Of Knives will let you use the ability endlessly once you can move 30 meters during one use of it as it will continually refresh itself. Then, once you can hold Dance Of Knives and never run out of charges, you can start focusing on boosting Crit Chance, increasing Vulnerability, and other things to boost your damage even further.

With this build you’ll level quickly, easily, and spin right into the endgame, where you can keep the gravy train going as this build is more than lethal enough to keep you going for a long time.
