Street Fighter

Where: TBD
When: TBA
Capcom and Legendary Entertainment are co-producing a live-action Street Fighter film and television show, according to Deadline. This won’t be the first nor the second time we’ve gotten a live-action Street Fighter film. In 1994, Capcom and Universal Pictures released the camp Street Fighter: The Movie. The film had an action movie star Jean-Claude Van Damme as Guile and Raul Julia as M. Bison in his final acting role. Capcom and 20th Century Fox gave us our second Street Fighter film with Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li starring Canadian actress Kristin Kreuk. In contrast to the 1994 film, The Legend of Chun-Li took a more serious approach to its storytelling. Hopefully whatever Capcom and Legendary Entertainment cook up does better than the aforementioned Street Fighter film’s respective 11% and 3% Rotten Tomato scores.
