Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 have only just hit the market, but they’re already getting a rare early discount. Priced at $249 at launch, the flagship earbuds are now available for $200. That $50 reduction will surely have day one adopters kicking themselves for not waiting just a tad longer for their own pair of Apple’s latest premium wireless earbuds.
Solid Audio
Performance and usability is Apple’s clear focus this new generation. Apple has significantly improved its real-time noise cancellation, claiming the AirPods Pro 3 can block up to twice as much ambient sound as the previous model. In practice, that translates into a more controlled listening experience in places filled with distractions, such as train stations, offices, or busy sidewalks. The stronger isolation helps music, podcasts, and calls come through with greater clarity, even when your surroundings are less than ideal for private listening.
Battery life also gets a noticeable lift. The earbuds now deliver up to 10 hours of listening on a single charge, with active noise cancellation only reducing that figure to about eight hours. That extra endurance makes a difference during long workdays or extended travel, where frequent charging isn’t exactly convenient. The charging case continues to support MagSafe and Qi wireless charging, but it now includes a built-in speaker. When paired with Apple’s Find My feature, the case can emit a sound to help locate it, addressing a common pain point for users who misplace small accessories.
Fit and comfort have been reworked with equal care. Apple has refined the shape of the earbuds to improve stability during movement, making them more reliable for workouts or runs. Foam-infused ear tips are now available in five sizes, including an XXS option designed to accommodate a broader range of ear shapes. A better seal enhances both comfort and audio performance by improving passive noise isolation.
Apple has also moved its charging standard from Lightning to USB-C, aligning the AirPods Pro 3 with newer devices across its ecosystem and with broader industry trends. This shift simplifies cable management for users who already rely on USB-C for phones, tablets, and laptops.
Smart Features
Beyond the hardware, new smart features expand the role of these earbuds. Built-in heart rate tracking allows users to monitor workout metrics directly, with data syncing to an iPhone for easy review. Live translation introduces another layer of utility, enabling real-time conversation translation delivered straight into the user’s ear.
Taken together, the improvements in noise cancellation, battery life, fit, and added functionality create a more capable and versatile set of earbuds. The current $50 discount only strengthens the Apple AirPods Pro 3 position, making them an even more compelling option in a crowded premium market.
