Astro Bot
It’s been a bummer few years for PlayStation, as the PS5 era has been marred by studio closures, game cancellations, and an overabundance of remakes and remasters. Astro Bot, meanwhile, is a delightful platformer that harkens back to better days. It’s been a minute since Sony has put out a platformer that was this joyous to play, challenging to master, and rewarding to complete. Astro Bot unintentionally serves as a bittersweet reminder of PlayStation games we’ve loved and lost, but hopefully it can be a precursor for a new era.
