Dawn Special Illustration Rare
No escaping this version of Dawn. And it is, at least, a completely gorgeous piece of artwork. That’s thanks to Atsushi Furusawa, who is a complete master at the full-art trainer. They gave us Shrouded Fable’s wonderful Cassiopeia, Paradox Rift’s Professor Turo’s Scenario, and that all-time sleepy Pikachu trainer gallery card from Lost Origin. Plus, there’s the small matter of the legendary Arceus V promo, and Mega Evolution’s extraordinary Mega Lucario ex.
The Dawn card is so phenomenally detailed, with the mountain range stretching into the distance, and that astonishing bicycle. It’s also worth noting that it’s a vital card for any deck wanting to play the Mega Charizard X, given it’ll let you search your deck for all three of Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard, and put them into your hand. Wowsers. As I mentioned, this is the most expensive non-Charizard in the set at $60. But in this card’s case, I’d be surprised if that price didn’t go up.
